Dear Parent
The Department of Education is seeking the views of parents on their children’s educational experience in the period of remote teaching and learning through a series of focus group meetings. We value the voice of parents and look forward to hearing about your child’s experience from your perspective.
During the focus groups, two inspectors will facilitate the meetings and will explore the themes of teaching, learning and wellbeing. The focus group meetings should hopefully last no longer than one hour.
It is important for you to note that the inspectorate will keep the information collected for the purpose of this research only. Participant anonymity will be assured and participants will not be named or identified when findings from this research are collated.
Date and Starting times:
Three focus group meetings will run on Wednesday 17 February at 9.30am, 11.30am and at 2pm.
If you are interested in partaking in this focus group research, we would kindly ask you to forward your name, email address and phone number to Michelle Davern, NPC Administrative Officer, at the following email address: info@npc.ie and please indicate your preferred time on the 17th , 9.30am, 11.30am or 2pm.
If selected to participate, you will be contacted prior to the focus group meeting with a WebEx invitation via the email address you submit. To ensure ease of access prior to the focus group meeting, those participants involved in the focus groups are asked to download the WebEx platform prior to the commencement of their assigned focus group meeting. Further instructions about how to access the WebEx platform will be sent to those parents who are participating in the focus groups. ... See MoreSee Less
