The boys in 3rd class had a special treat recently as they made Mexican Burritos. The boys are learning all about Mexico after their visit from Captain Ocana's daughter. Thanks to Ms. Walsh for all her preparation.

Goodbye mrs. magner

The boys in St. Patricks said goodbye to Mrs. Magner after 20 years teaching in the school. Each class made a special card for her and there was also a musical performance. Mrs. Magner spoke to the boys and wished them all well. Her energy and enthusiasm around the school will be missed! We would like to wish her well in her new job!!

The President visits st. patricks

We had a very special visitor as part of the 60th Anniversary of our school. The president of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins! The president spent about an hour in the school and was very busy as he planted a tree, unveiled a plaque, looked at an exhibition and made a speech on the stage in the hall. Some of the boys were lucky enough to shake hands with him and get a photograph! The school presented the president with a photograph of Mallow from over 100 years ago and a bird box made from the old school desks. He really liked his new bird box!! It was a really exciting day that the boys will remember for a long time to come. We would like to thank everyone who helped prepare for this special day!!
